If you have come straight to this page without the preceding pages providing you with the foundation of background knowledge to understand Biblical Prophecy, you need to know The Book of Daniel is regarded as the mainstay of Biblical reference to discern whether our doctrine stands firmly on God’s truth, or not. Google is very useful, however it is a long way removed from source! We need to constantly bear this in mind as we research realizing those with hidden agendas, also deposit “information”, and it has been found that they do! Whilst facilitating a truly incredible resource for knowledge, we must never lose sight of the fact that the love of money, is the root of all evil! 1 Timothy 6:10. Everything in the world today has to be tested for authenticity!
With the increase of knowledge prophecied at the time of the end now upon us, Daniel 12:4, certain refinements to page 9 of Session 9 of the discipleship course, The Millenium, first published in 2000, are now necessary. Albeit an apparently very minor change, the year 33 AD for our LORD’s death and resurrection instead of 31 AD, is important. The exact date has been narrowed down with independant examination to 3rd April 33 AD, and page 9 of Session 9 needs to be corrected to villify the accuracy of The Book of Daniel to both emphasise, and recognize Daniel’s prophecy as undoubtedly divinely inspired!
The mystery of the “time, times, and half a time”, Daniel 7:25, Daniel 12:7 and the Revelation 12:14, which has had believers baffled for over 23 centuries, is unravelled in the simple observation of where these verses citing a “time, times, and half a time”, actually appear in The Scriptures. True to the Historic Repetitive Style, the verses appear twice in The Book of Daniel, both in the context of the time of the end. In chapter 7 the saints of the Most High are given into his hand until a “time, times, and half a time”, and in chapter 12, “the man clothed in linen” which was upon the waters, answers the question as to how long it shall be to the end of these wonders? “that it shall be for a time, times and an half; and when he shall have accomplished to scatter the power of the holy people, that all these things shall be finished“. The association with “the saints of the Most High”, or “the holy people”, is then confirmed in The Revelation chapter 12 in the account of “The Church”, fleeing into the wilderness to escape persecution, where she is nourished a thousand two hundred and three score days, being a time, times, and a half. The Revelation 12:5 and 6, and verse 14.
Our full comprehension requires the information that the Jewish calendar month, is 30 days! We therefore have:
a time = 30 x 12 = 360 days + times (720) = 1080 days + half a time (180) = 1260 days. Using the “each day for a year” principle, Ezekiel 4:6, the accurate interpretation of Daniel’s prophecy is by Scripture, and not by man!
Spanning a two thousand three hundred year period commencing in 457 BC with the decree of Artaxerxes to allow the Jews to return and rebuild Jerusalem, Daniel 9:24, to the 21st of March 1843, being William Miller’s first predicted date of our Lord Jesus Christ’s “return”, the prophecy of seventy weeks, the time periods of the 1290 days, and 1335 days, are calculated from both the start of the 2300 year period, (457 BC), and from the end of time. “The end of time” being the 1844 disappointment marking our beginning to understand Daniel’s prophecies, the work becoming unlocked in the application of the day for a year principle, applying this principle clearly defines “the end of time”! The day for a year principle applied, Ezekiel 4:6, unlocks, or breaks the seal, to enable our understanding!
Written approximately 530 years before the first advent of our Lord Jesus Christ, the unlocking of Daniel to begin to become fully understood, was prophecied by John The Revelator on the Isle of Patmos, 94 AD to 96 AD. Chapter 10 records the mighty angel with a little book open in his hand, The Revelation 10:1 and 2, and confirms the end of time! John sees the mighty angel lift up his hand to heaven and “sware by him that liveth forever”, “that there should be time no longer”. The Revelation 10:6. Chapter 10 then continues to describe the Millerite experience in The Great Disapointment, that The Book would be sweet as honey in the mouth, but become bitter in the belly!
For those as yet not acquainted with the Great Disappointment, The Millerites were followers of William Miller who proved himself to be a false prophet. He predicted a date for the return of Christ in the 2nd Coming, and was wrong! His niave followers gave away businesses, houses and possessions to willing recipients only to end up mocked and derided because they had stood on a mountain to be ready for the coming Christ, and nothing happened! This, as anyone can imagine, was a very bitter experience, but it marked the beginning of our understanding The Book of Daniel.
“Seventy weeks are determined upon thy people and upon thy holy city, to finish the transgression, and to make an end of sins, and to make reconciliation for iniquity, and to bring in everlasting righteousness, and to seal up the vision and prophecy, and to annoint the most Holy”. Daniel 9:24.
70 x 7 = 490 years. Commencing from 457 BC brings us to the year 33 AD, the year our Lord offered Himself on the cross as The Lamb of God for the sins of the world! John 3:16. (490 – 457 BC = 33 AD)
This starts the 2300 year period for Daniel’s prophetic message!
Know therefore and understand, that from the going forth of the commandment to restore and to build Jerusalem unto Messiah the Prince shall be seven weeks and three score and two weeks: the street shall be built again, and the wall even in troublous times”. Daniel 9:25.
7 + 62 = 69 weeks x 7 = 483 days = 483 years. From the going forth of the commandment to restore Jerusalem, unto the Messiah the Prince shall be 483 years. Daniel 9:25 (483 – 457 BC = 26 AD)
This brings us forward in history to the baptism of Lord Jesus aged about 30 years at the time, Luke 3:23, by John the Baptist in the year 26 AD. “Behold The Lamb of God that taketh away the sins of the world”. John 1:29. Our Lord having fulfilled all righteousness, was baptized by John who was about 6 months older than our Lord, and a year later, John was imprisoned.
“And after threescore and two weeks shall Messiah be cut off, but not for himself: and the people of the prince that shall come shall destroy the city and the sanctuary; and the end thereof shall be with a flood, and unto the end of the war desolations are determined”. Daniel 9:26.
And after 62 x 7 days = 434 years. Calculated from 457 BC brings us to the year 23 BC, and the year Herod The Great built his palace in Jerusalem. Messiah was cut off, but not Himself!
Prophecied to occur five centuries earlier, the stage was now set for the destruction of the second temple in 70 AD.
“And He shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: and in the midst of the week He shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease, and for the overspreading of abominations He shall make it desolate, even unto the consummation, and that determined shall be poured upon the desolate”. Daniel 9:27.
One week 1 x 7 days = 7 years. In the midst of the week denotes 3 and a half days, which represents ANOTHER three and a half year period!
It is at this stage we must take great care to understand this three and a half year period, cannot be connected to the 1260 “days” of Antichrist’s persecution of the saints, the most holy people! We must note the three and half year period in which The Antichrist persecutes The Church, is not within the prophetic timeline of the 70 week prophecy! The persecution of the saints, the most holy people, came after The Church had demonstrated its power to severely impact Rome’s economy! Matthew 14:13, and John 12:19.
Thirty seven years after our Lord’s resurrection, The Church had grown so much, Rome was forced to react against a rising revolt in Israel. The Roman destruction of the temple accompanied by the execution of 6000 people, mostly Jews, incited a “full scale rebellion”! Josephus records a Jewish uprising in the first Jewish Roman war quickly overcoming the Romans for having destroyed the temple!
“In response to the Roman plunder of the Second Jewish Temple and the execution of up to 6,000 Jews in Jerusalem, a full-scale rebellion erupted. The Roman military garrison of Judaea was quickly overrun by rebels, while the pro-Roman king Herod Agrippa II and Roman officials fled Jerusalem”. (Google)
At the time of our Lord’s death on the cross at about 3 pm on 14 Nisan 3793, the Gregorian date being the 3rd of April in the year 33 AD, the veil in the temple rent from top to bottom! Matthew 27:51. Signifying the way open into the Holy of Holies, indeed into the Presence of God, acceptable before God Almighty in The Beloved Son Yeshua HaMassiach, Christ Jesus The Lamb of God for ALL who will receive and believe on Him, the end of the daily sacrifice and the oblation had come to an end. Sacrifice was no longer necessary for atonement! Atonement had now been made in a once and for all sacrifice for the sins of the world, that whosever believes on Him, Jesus Christ, shall be saved! Hallelu Jah!
“And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in His Son. He that hath the Son hath life, he that hath not the Son hath not life”. 1 John 5:11 and 12. Thus, “in the midst of the week, Messiah shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease”. Daniel 9:27.
We know from the Gospels our Lord Jesus began to choose his disciples after John the Baptist was imprisoned. Matthew 4:12 and 18. In the present absence of an exact date for the birthday of Herod Antipas, (one of Herod the Great’s sons), who at his birthday party ordered the death of John the Baptist, Matthew 14:6 to 13, an approximation of a birth date for our Lord now becomes possible due to the phenomenal accuracy of Daniel’s prophecies! If we go back three and a half years from the time of our Lord’s death and resurrection, 3rd April 33 AD, we would, from The Bible narrative, get very close to the actual date that our Lord began His preaching ministry, as this being the 3rd October 29 AD. Already considerably advanced by the time of John’s death in that the people followed our Lord and Christ out of the cities, Matthew 14:13 and 14, from all accounts evaluated, our Lord was likely baptised by John in AD 26 at about the age of thirty years, placing His date of birth in the year 4 or 3 BC. John was then imprisoned in AD 27, and beheaded no later than 29 AD. The seven year period of the last week centering around our Lord’s death and resurrection in the midst of the final week, yields yet another amazing result!
A google search, “in what year was John the Baptist killed”, yielded the answer between 28 and 29 AD. Going back in time from our Lord’s death and resurrection, 3rd April 33 AD, three and a half years, would bring us to approximately 3rd October 29 AD. Going forward from the date of our Lord’s death and resurrection three and a half years, we would arrive at a date of 3rd October 36 AD. It would appear from all the evidence available, the final week of the 70 week prophecy, that this 7 year period began with Rosh Hashanah on the 3rd October 29 AD, and ended on Rosh Hashanah on the 3rd October 36 AD. By no means insignificant, Stephen was stoned to death in 36 AD, marking the beginning of persecutions for the followers of Christ!
Standing up to close scrutiny, the prophecy of 70 weeks translated into years using the day for a year principle given in Ezekiel 4:6, marks highly significant milestones in Hebrew history!
457 BC + 62 weeks = 23 BC + 1 week = 16 BC + 7 weeks = 33 AD
457 BC + 434 years = 23 BC + 7 years =16 BC + 49 years = 33 AD
Following through to understand the detail revealed, and working backwards in time from the 1844 Disappointment now defined as “the end of time”, when indeed Daniel’s prophecies would be unlocked to become understood, Daniel 12:9, brings us to equally significant, and highly relevant dates in the history of The Church!
To achieve an academically sound understanding, the 1844 Disappointment should be dated as 1843, this being the year of Miller’s first false prediction! We therefore have 1843 AD – 1335 day/years = 508 AD, which is the year Clovis converted to Catholicism, and thoroughly established Roman Catholicism as the primary religion of Europe!
Now, adding the 1290 days to the year 508 = 1798 AD, this date being the year the French General Alexandre Bertier arrested the Pope for subversion! This brought to an end the Roman Catholic persecution of The Church!
Now we subtract the 1260 day/years from 1798 AD – 1260 = 538 AD. This is the year the Ostrogoths fell under Justinian, and the Roman Catholic “Church”, now reigned in Rome!
This is the Abomination of Desolation being set up, Daniel 12:11, to begin the persecution of “the woman” for a time, times, and half a time! The Revelation 12:6 and 14.
Daniel”s 70 week prophecy, God’s prompt reply in response to Daniel’s earnest request setting his face to seek God in prayer, to know the future of his people, is amazingly accurate! Doing the arithmatic becomes mathematical proof the timeline is perfect!

457 BC – (62 x 7 = 434) = 457 – 434 = 23 BC Herod the Great builds palace in Jerusalem. Dan 9:26

Whilst page 9. of Session 9 still needs to be corrected to rectify two Scripture verse references and the date of our Lord’s death and resurrection being the year 33 AD, and not 31 AD, it nevertheless is a useful graphic display. A corrected page will appear with these studies in due course. The above information has stood up under the closest examination, having been inspected for error many times since page 9 was developed. Our knowledge however has increased with time, and twenty four years later, there is room for improvement!
The essential lesson to glean from this research is that The Kingdom of God was established in the year 33 AD. The grave clothes were folded in the empty tomb, John 20:7, and set apart where our Lord’s head lay, signifying the completion of Christ’s work, and more! The Kingdom of God had come on Earth!
Preaching, “Repent ye for the Kingdom of God is at hand“, the Kingdom of Heaven had now been set up! Daniel 2:44. Daniel’s prophecy fullfilled, The Kingdom of God was now READY for the TAKING!
False “churches” have hidden this candle of truth under a bushel! Our Lord’s true church is called to expose this! The agenda to make people happy with worship in music, simultaneously robbing God’s people of God’s truth, has prospered along with the property port folio of The Vatican, The Mother of Harlots and Abomnations of the Earth! The Revelation 17:5. Tossed to and fro by every wind of doctrine, Christianity reels under so very many divisions! Antichrist has truly “ACCOMPLISHED to SCATTER the POWER of the holy people”! Daniel 12:7.
The 21st of March 1843 being William Miller’s first false date, (and we should note Scripture records our Lord Jesus clearly teaching us “no man knows the day or the hour, not the angels, nor The Son, only The Father”, Matthew 24:36), goes down in history as the exact date of the fullfillment of The Revelation chapter 10 verse 2. Verses 9, and 10, succinctly denoting the Millerite’s experience, we should note further that William Miller was a farmer, who, after two years of “Bible Study”, became a Baptist minister, and started a “revival”, which devastated his followers! This is the danger we expose ourselves to when we follow those who are not time proven, mature, and skilled in The Scriptures!
Understanding there is time no more, The Revelation 10:6, and all these things shall be finished, Daniel 12:7, the scattered divided church of the Lord Jesus Christ, testifies to the truth of The Word! We are indeed in the year 2025 – 1843, now 182 years past prophetic time!
Christians seeking God’s truth, with the sincere call of God in their life, are called to abandon false “churches” which have “hindered” and “withheld” This Gospel of The Kingdom from the world! Matthew 24:14. The Holy Spirit calls us to obedience to this Gospel, that we” forsake Babylon”, the symbol of apostasy, Jeremiah 51:9 and The Revelation 18:4, to join ourselves to The Lord. Isaiah 56:1 to 8 and 2 Thessalonians 2:1.
If we are at all concerned about what we indeed believe to be God’s truth, we may note the following:
- The Holy Spirit will NEVER teach us to disobey GOD! (Sunday “Sabbath Keepers are deceived Daniel 7:25).
- The Holy Spirit of TRUTH will encourage a love for The Truth, for GOD is truth! John 14:6.
- Real Christians live by EVERY word that proceeds out of the mouth of GOD! Deuteronomy 8:3, Matthew 4.4.
- The true word of prophecy is HELD TOGETHER by every word of GOD! 2 Timothy 3:16 and 17.
GOD is GOD! In ALL situations, God does as this may please Him! The Righteous Judge, knows the end from the beginning! Therefore God is Alpha and Omega, The First and The Last! The Revelation 22:13.
In this final hour of this present evil age, Galatians 1:4, with deception rampantly misleading men with great subtilties, we need to cultivate a love for the truth as never before! We need to know one is coming “Whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders, and with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved, and for this cause GOD shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie: that they ALL might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.” 2 Thessalonians 2:9 to 12.
But we are bound to give thanks alway to God for you, beloved of The Lord, because God hath from the beginning chosen you to salvation through sanctification of the Spirit and belief of the truth: Amen.
