The judgment pronounced on Ananias and Sapphira clearly reveals our Father’s desire to see judgment begin in the house of God! 1 Peter 4:17. There can be no doubt about this, and this, causing a holy respect for the Early Church among the people. Acts 5:5. It is with this spirit that all doctrine is approached. God is seeking judges among His children! The Word says this, and if The Word says this, The Word may be trusted above all the teachings of men. 1 Corinthians 6:1 to 5.
Believers were becoming disciples, and bringing their possessions to the apostles to throw in their lot with The Church, the apostles distributed among them as everyone had need. Some brought everything they had, others declared their gifts, and were accepted into The Body of Christ. We see this in the calling of Zacchaeus in Luke 19:8 and 9.
A very brief study of Acts, in fact the first two chapters, will reveal The Early Church found favour with all the people. Men and woman wanted to join The Early Church as they were seeing and experiencing the great joy of being fed the truth, and living in the truth of The Kingdom of God having come on Earth! People were witnessing cohesive Christianity, which was utterly destroyed in the Roman persecution, Daniel 7:7, and replaced with the contrary divisive version found throughout the world today. Jeremiah 25:34 and 35.
