Our Lord Yeshua Hamashiach, giving “Himself for our sins that He might deliver us from this present evil world”, (or age), Galatians 1:4, our Lord’s Church, THE pillar and ground of the truth, 1 Timothy 3:15, has a function to fulfil! Revealed in the book of Daniel, “But the saints of the most High SHALL TAKE the kingdom, and possess the kingdom for ever, even for ever and ever”, Daniel 7:18, and “take away his dominion, to consume and to destroy it unto the end”, Daniel 7:26, we may rightly understand it is man’s whole purpose to bruise Satan’s head! Genesis 3:15. Appropriating our Lord’s victory over sin and death, it is man’s honour to overcome evil with good, and Antichrist is finally brought to his end! Daniel 11:45.
The book of Daniel teaching us that Antichrist is at war with the saints, Daniel 7:21 and Daniel 9:26, Christendom has come through many perilous times. Our LORD Jesus prophesied persecution lay ahead for his disciples and church! Matthew 24:9. Betrayal, Matthew 24:10, even by family foretold, Luke 12:53, those who will gather themselves to Christ, need to be extremely selective! We do NOT give information to our enemy! Understanding the full knowledge of Christ, demands we walk circumspectly, Ephesians 5:15, looking around us, embracing caution to be diligently careful as to whom we give information. Amos 5:13. Christians are at war, and will remain at war until the consummation! Daniel 9:26 and 27.

We also need to know translators have no doubt also “tried to make a modern day understanding”, accessible. Reading the same verse in the original languages, and other translations, will amplify the truth to enhance the accuracy of our knowledge, especially as scripts are compared for authenticity in Bible studies!
Notwithstanding, we share the belief all subsequent “versions” of The Bible, even slightly at variance with the 1611, inadequately impart God’s perfect truth, and therefore, render those scripts suspect! On this matter of varying scripts, a good beginning to understand this is made looking at Matthew 17:25. The Old King James uses the word “prevented”, whilst the New King James uses the word “anticipated”! These are two entirely different words with two entirely different meanings, and we need to very careful to study The Scriptures with others in Bible study groups, to compare verses which will undoubtedly influence our thinking! In this instance we have the issue of understanding our LORD’s teaching on the subject of taxation, and it should not surprise us disciples will vary for various reasons on this subject if there are varying scripts they may prefer to follow. Varying scripts create contentions leading to divisions and eventual disunity. This is not pleasing to God. Psalm 133.
